The claimants were the owners of land comprising 7.161 acres used as a junkyard. The County of Nassau condemned the land; and the Special Term awarded the sum of $146,400 to the claimants as compensation for the taking. The claimants appeal, arguing that the award was inadequate; in particular, they contend that the Special Term did not assign proper weight to the singular characteristics...
