This is a direct appeal in a criminal action wherein the defendant, Larry J. Henderson, was convicted by a jury of first degree robbery (K.S.A. 21-527) and possession of a pistol after conviction of a felony (K.S.A. 21-2611). Following denial of defendant's motion for new trial, the district court sentenced him under the habitual criminal act to consecutive sentences of twenty-five and fifteen years,...
