The plaintiffs are the contract buyers and defendant is the contract seller of premises in Chicago occupied by a three-story building housing fourteen apartments. This suit was precipitated by a suit filed by the City of Chicago on January 25, 1967, against the seller, the purchasers and certain tenants of the property charging Building Code violations and seeking either that the building be brought into conformity...
