On August 14, 1966. the defendant, Robert Martin, and codefendant, David Banach, were jointly indicted for armed robbery of a tavern on October 13, 1965, in Burnham, Illinois. On October 14, 1966, Banach pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a term of one to five years in the penitentiary. The defendant herein was arrested in California on June 7, 1967, returned to Illinois in September...
