HATHAWAY, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction, after trial to a jury, of grand theft of money under false pretenses, A.R.S. §§ 13-661, 663 and 671. The appellant, Holmes, an attorney, obtained $1,000 from a client, Sanford Marburger, a South Tucson liquor store proprietor. Marburger claimed that Holmes had told him that the money was for a fine allegedly imposed for a liquor license violation, but that in actuality, no such fine had been imposed....
