KERN, Associate Judge:

Appellant was convicted by the court sitting without a jury of carrying a pistol without a license in violation of D.C.Code 1967, § 22-3204 and possessing a prohibited weapon, a sawed-off shotgun, in violation of D.C.Code 1967, § 22-3214(a). He was sentenced to a year's imprisonment on each conviction to be served consecutively. This appeal presents the issue whether stamped notations reading "Jury Trial Demand Withdrawn" on the back...
