Powell Crichton died in New York on November 15, 1962 at the age of 78. He was born in Louisiana but left the state when he was very young. He practiced law in New York for many years and resided in Westchester County. In 1916 Powell Crichton married for the first time of which marriage two children, Powell Crichton, Jr. and Mrs. Gloria Crichton McGehee were born.
