UDALL, Justice:

William George Bray, hereinafter referred to as the defendant, was convicted in 1963 of the crime of first degree murder. The jury fixed the sentence at life imprisonment.

The defendant filed a notice of appeal in 1965 in persona pauperis. Thereafter the court-appointed counsel filed a petition with this court stating he had searched the record and been unable to find grounds on which to base an appeal. This court, after its own search of the...
