Defendant appeals from a conviction of murder in the first degree for which he was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment.

On October 30, 1968, at about five o'clock in the afternoon, one Calvin Baskerville was shot to death in a small restaurant in Newark. Defendant admitted that he was present at the time but denied being the assailant. The State produced only one eyewitness to the shooting...
