Thomas Wendell Blackwell, defendant-appellant was tried before the District Court without a jury and convicted of possessing and transporting distilled spirits without proper stamps in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 5205(a) (2) and § 5604(a) (1). The only question presented is whether the government agents had probable cause to believe that the automobile involved contained contraband subject to seizure at the time it was stopped and searched.
