This is an appeal from a judgment of the circuit court of Cook County dismissing, after a hearing, Daniel Slaughter's amended post-conviction petition.

In November 1961, defendant was brought to trial on an indictment charging him with the murder of his wife. He waived his right to a trial by jury, was found guilty of the crime as charged and was sentenced to the penitentiary...
