On November 30, 1964, plaintiff, Sims, was discharged from employment at defendant-appellee Rex Paper Company's Kalamazoo plant. Sims was at that time a member of a bargaining unit which was represented under a contract executed on August 19, 1963, by the defendant union. Sims sought reinstatement and back pay by processing a grievance under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
