Defendants Tremont and Leach were found guilty of three counts of an indictment charging violations of 18 U.S. C. § 10101 by making false statements in an application for a Title I home improvement loan. The charges arose out of a $3,000 loan obtained from the Lynn Safe Deposit and Trust Company in May 1968, purportedly to improve a building the defendants were in the process of buying.
