The plaintiff brought this action to recover for services rendered as an attorney on behalf of Dr. R. Harrison Leer.

In 1965 Jean E. Leer, wife of Dr. Leer, commenced a suit for divorce in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Oregon, where the parties resided. Dr. Leer, an ophthalmologist, had practiced in Alaska prior to moving to Oregon, and continued to return to Alaska to carry on his work. The trial of the divorce case was postponed...
