Petitioner Watson is a member of the United States Army. Respondent Birdsong is the Post Commmander, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and as such has custody over the person of petitioner. On July 16, 1970, Watson filed in this Court a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in which he seeks release from the Army on the ground that his local draft board classified him illegally.
