This is an appeal by Kenneth Lee Benoit, petitioner-appellant, from an order of the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky dismissing his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Benoit was tried before a jury on a charge of armed robbery in the Jefferson County, Kentucky, Circuit Court. The jury returned a verdict of guilty and fixed the punishment at life imprisonment.
