MARUMOTO, Justice.

This case involves a female child born on August 26, 1967. At the time of her birth, her natural parents were unmarried high school students, both 17 years old, the natural father having been born on March 9, 1950, and the mother on March 18, 1950.

On August 28, 1967, the mother executed her consent to the placement of the child with persons selected by her physician as adoptive parents and to the adoption of the child by such persons.<...
