Proceeding under the authority conferred on him by 29 U.S.C. §§ 206(d) (3) and 217, the Secretary of Labor brought this action to enjoin the defendant Brookhaven General Hospital from violating the provisions of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, 29 U.S.C. § 206. The District Court made findings of fact and conclusions of law, holding that the hospital's male orderlies and female nurse's aides...
