In essence this lawsuit is a quo warranto action. It stems from a protracted dispute between King County and the City of Tukwila involving a proposed annexation by the city of a small tract of land (6.7 acres) in the Green River Valley. In the quo warranto phase of the action, King County questioned the authority of the city to consummate the annexation. Collaterally, the city sought prohibition against interference by the county with Tukwila's jurisdiction...
