Plaintiff lost the sight of his right eye on May 1, 1958, as the result of an October 5, 1956 injury which arose out of and in the course of his employment with Ford Motor Company. His employer paid him workmen's compensation benefits at the weekly rate for the required number of weeks provided by the statute then in effect.1 After the expiration of the weekly period, his employer continued to pay compensation benefits...
