Lloyd Edward Wright was charged by indictment with robbing the New Age Federal Savings and Loan Association, St. Louis, Missouri, on September 11, 1969 and with assaulting and placing in jeopardy the life of the president of that institution by use of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a) and (d). Wright was found guilty by a jury as charged, and on December 23, 1969, the district court sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment.
