This case was initiated under the guest act, Article 6701b, § 1, Vernon's Ann.Civ. St., for injuries sustained by the plaintiff, Loraine McPhearson, on February 6, 1966, while a passenger in a car owned and driven by the defendant, James J. Sullivan.
