SS Alcoa Polaris, owned by the Alcoa Steamship Company, arrived in Baltimore on Wednesday, 2 March 1960 and was docked at Pier 9 at the Port Covington yards1 of Western Maryland Railway Company (Western Maryland). Between 11 P.M. on Wednesday and 1 P.M. on Thursday, 3 March, 10 inches of snow had fallen. One-tenth of an inch fell early on Friday...
