The evidence was more than sufficient to support the verdict of the jury on both counts. In our opinion, defendant was not deprived of his right to the effective assistance of counsel by reason of the fact that defendant's assigned counsel did not interpose the defense of insanity at the time of the commission of the crime; nor does the fact that the trial court did not impose the defense warrant the granting...
