BATEMAN, Justice.
The appellee Bank sued the appellant Burnett Estes on ten promissory notes aggregating approximately $600,000, signed by Estes and payable to appellee, and sought foreclosure of a deed of trust lien on land in Denton County as against both Estes and the appellant Dan Gibbs. At the conclusion of the evidence the court directed a verdict in favor of appellee.
