This is an appeal by William K. Howard from a conviction, after jury trial, of murder in the first degree. Ind. Anno. Stat. § 10-3401. The appellant has been sentenced to the Indiana State Prison for life. The victim of the homicide was the appellant's wife.

In view of the disposition that we have determined must be made of this case, a lengthy narrative of the evidence will not be necessary.
