In the town of Atlanta, Texas, Mr. R. C. Hardy owned two lots located at the intersection of Hiram and Northeast Streets. A two-story brick commercial building was situated on the Hardy lots fronting toward Hiram. A one-story brick store building facing Northeast Street owned by Mr. Clovis A. Martin occupied a lot adjacent to the Hardy lots. The rear wall of the Hardy building abutted a side wall of the Martin structure. On the night of October 31...
