COLEMAN, Justice.

This is an admiralty suit brought by Jerry Benton, the employee of an independent contractor, to recover damages against a vessel owner, Wheless Drilling Company, for injuries received by him while working at unloading pipe from the vessel, which was located in navigable waters. A judgment based on a jury verdict was rendered for the defendant.
