Roger S. Brown (hereinafter, petitioner) has filed with this court a "Petition of Writ of Habeas Corpus" to test the constitutional validity of his commitment by the Superior Court of Orange County to the Department of Mental Hygiene with placement in an institution of the Department of Corrections for an indefinite1 period as a mentally disordered sex offender after a 90-day observation period at Atascadero State Hospital.
