Plaintiff filed suit against defendant for a money judgment resulting from certain sums it paid on behalf of defendant as a result of defendant not paying certain creditors on a State of Louisiana Highway Project. Plaintiff was the surety on the bond signed by defendant with the State of Louisiana in order to obtain the highway job.
