About 2 o'clock p.m. on January 14, 1967, while shopping in Defendant Jim L. Chow's retail grocery store in Greenville, Mississippi, the Plaintiff, Mrs. Bessie W. Cook, slipped on some fresh pork sausage and fell, injuring herself. She brought suit for damages in the Circuit Court of Washington County.
