The present cause is an outgrowth of an expropriation suit by the State of Louisiana through the Department of Highways, plaintiff, to obtain 7.372 acres of land from Henry W. Busch and Elizabeth Moresi, defendants, for use in constructing U.S. Highway 167. Plaintiff deposited $24,000.00 in the registry of the Court as its estimated value of the property taken.
