By orders of July 13, 1966 and October 25, 1966, the commission approved the installation by Long Island Lighting Company, the present intervenor-appellant, of a high-pressure gas pipeline extending for a distance of some 13 miles in Nassau County. These orders were reviewed in separate article 78 proceedings instituted by the Town of Hempstead and the Village of Rockville Centre with the result that the determinations were confirmed and...
