In this case, the petitioner has filed an application for a writ of habeas corpus stating that he was convicted by a jury in Chittenden County Court on March 23, 1966, of kidnapping (Count 1), conspiracy to rob, (Count 3) and burglary in the nighttime (Count 4). He was sentenced on March 26, 1966, on Count 1 to a term of not less than 12 nor more than 18 years; on Count 3 to a term of not less than 8 nor more than 10 years and...
