In 1964, Kenneth and Catherine McEnroe were divorced by judgment of the 9th Judicial District Court of Waller County, Texas. By that judgment the maternal grandparents were given custody of the McEnroes' two minor children, a boy and a girl. Much bitter controversy between the McEnroes followed that 1964 divorce decree.
