This is an appeal by Ray Holland from his conviction of the crime of assault with intent to kill. Holland was found guilty by the Washington County Circuit Court, sitting as a jury, and his punishment fixed at five years in the State Penitentiary. The court further ordered that pronouncement of three years of this five-year sentence be deferred upon the good behavior of the appellant.
