Defendant was convicted of armed robbery1 on May 18, 1965, following a jury trial in Genesee county and was sentenced to 10 to 30 years. A motion for new trial was filed and was denied on September 13, 1965. On the latter date, trial counsel was appointed by the court to institute further post-conviction proceedings on behalf of defendant.
