Mrs. Catherine DeBruyn Frederic sustained a fractured kneecap when she slipped and fell while shopping in the Winn-Dixie grocery store located at 3425 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. She filed this suit for damages for her personal injuries against Winn-Dixie Louisiana, Inc., operator of the store and its insurer, The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York.
