The plaintiff, a corporation organized under the laws of Massachusetts and having its principal place of business in that state, challenges the validity of an ad valorem tax assessed against its motor vehicles by the tax assessor of the city of East Providence as of December 31 in the years 1962 through 1965, inclusive. After the respective assessments had been paid under protest, the plaintiff commenced proceedings in the superior court alleging violations...
