On November 18, 1964, Eddie White (for convenience, called "White") bought from Empire Mutual Insurance Company (for convenience, called "Empire") a family combination automobile policy to cover his 1962 Oldsmobile. The policy ran to November 18, 1965. Nine days before its expiration, White's car was demolished by fire. White claimed payment from Empire, and, on December 28, 1965 Empire delivered...
