In March of 1948 the petitioner was charged on three complaints with assault and robbery. Upon arraignment in a district court he was adjudged probably guilty and bound over to the superior court where he waived the finding and filing of grand jury indictments against him for those offenses and pleaded nolo contendere to each complaint.
