SMITH, Justice.

The sentence on defendant's guilty plea to a charge that he had unlawfully possessed a narcotic drug was 2 years imprisonment and $3,000 fine. We review it on appeal in respect to allocution and legislative reduction of penalty during pendency of appeal.
