This appeal involves the interpretation of the provisions of PA 1965, No 198, § 8 (MCLA § 257.1108 [Stat Ann 1968 Rev § 9.2808]), known as the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Act. An amendatory act, PA 1968, No 223, was adopted after the occurrence of the events giving rise to this appeal and does not affect our decision herein.
