The defendant appeals a summary judgment for the plaintiff. The facts in this case parallel those in People, for use and benefit of State Employees Retirement System, v. Traverse City State Bank (1968), 9 Mich.App. 639. There, as here, a retired state employee, who was entitled to receive, and who was monthly paid, a retirement benefit, died.
