This is a suit in tort arising out of an automobile accident which occurred on March 16, 1966, on Landry Road just outside of the City of Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. The accident occurred when plaintiff began a left turn into a private driveway at the entrance of Napasco Chemical Company, and her car collided with an overtaking automobile owned by defendant, Sarah Gercke, and being driven by her minor son, James W.
