JANES, J.

Plaintiff appeals from an adverse judgment in a wrongful death action tried by jury and from an order denying his motion for new trial.1 The case arose out of an automobile accident in which Jerry Fields, the 4-year-old son of plaintiff, was killed while riding as a passenger in defendant's car.
