Defendant was indicted in Indictment No. 67-1377 on two counts of aggravated battery of one Willie Plump. Count 1 of the indictment alleged that defendant committed a battery on Plump causing him great bodily harm; and Count 2 alleged a battery on Plump with the use of a deadly weapon.
