On September 14, 1966, at approximately 7:25 P.M., Christine Rice, appellee and one of the plaintiffs below (hereinafter referred to as "the plaintiff"; the plaintiff's husband was also a plaintiff below), was struck by an automobile driven by Joseph Leonard Richardson, appellant and defendant below, while she was attempting to cross Liberty Heights Avenue in Baltimore City.
