On 16 August 1968 about 9:30 p.m. police officers entered a private dwelling in Baltimore County under the authority of a search and seizure warrant duly issued that same date upon an application sworn to by Detective Sergeant Raymond Donovan, a member of the Baltimore County Police Bureau.1 There were about 7 adults and 4 juveniles on the premises, including the appellants.
