The defendant, Donald Stewart, was charged in Indictment No. 67-238, with one count of aggravated battery (Ill Rev Stats 1967, c 38, § 12-4) and one count of attempt robbery (Ill Rev Stats 1967, c 38, § 8-4). The cause was tried before a jury and resulted in a verdict and judgment of guilty on both counts.
